HTG today announces Alan McBurney as its Chief Innovation Officer.
At HTG, our motto is ‘people-first technology’. The meaning is, of course, all about delivering the benefits of IT innovation to end users. But it starts with the genius, know-how and talent of the people at HTG.
That’s why we’re proud to announce the appointment of Alan McBurney as our Chief Innovation Officer.
Alan McBurney joins us from Spence & Partners, a pensions business, where he was Chief Technical Architect.
With over two decades in the IT industry, his expertise will enhance HTG’s capability to deliver breakthrough IT-driven change for our clients. His experience will also secure a seat at the top table with partners such as Microsoft, Citrix and VMware.
Delivering digital transformation
Alan joins HTG at a time of growth, change and challenge. The business has ambitious growth plans. As a director, Alan will help to shape and direct our future so that we can deliver better services for our clients. With nearly two decades of client-side experience, he will help us strengthen our ability to solve business problems.
As CINO, he reinforces our commitment to people-first, client-focused innovation. Digital transformation is more than just technology. It needs people, like Alan, with experience in change management to map advanced technology to everyday business needs.
Lastly, as we look to a post-pandemic future, the challenges of the last year will energise rapid technological change in the future: remote working, hybrid offices, secure cloud computing, virtual desktops and all the rest.
‘The recovery will be digital’, according to McKinsey, a firm of consultants. We intend to be at the forefront of that wave of digital transformation.
Experience and knowledge
‘As a customer of HTG with Spence, my decision to join the company was made that much easier as I already knew the team and its ambitions,’ says Alan. ‘This is a great opportunity to help build on HTG’s excellent reputation and I’m excited at the prospect of achieving greater success ahead as we continue to deliver disruptive solutions for our customers.’
Kevin Howell, CTO at HTG adds, ‘Alan is a good friend of HTG and it was great to see him jump at the opportunity to help us drive innovation and transform the workspace experience of our customers through delivering best of breed solutions and services.’
‘We are pleased Alan has agreed to join the team as a director and Chief Innovation Officer,’ says Graham Wight, CEO at HTG. ‘Alan’s experience and knowledge within the IT industry is key to HTG’s unwavering commitment to delivering world-class solutions for our customers.’
